New 2.6.8 firmware version for AVL devices

2Embedcom announces that the new firmware version (2.6.8) for Falcom AVL devices (SteppIII, Bolero LT, Fox LT and Fox LT IP) is now available.

This new firmware, for 8MB FLASH devices, includes following improvements:

Remote update
- GSM Modem is switched off and on after firmware update
BIOS 1.7 added
- Extended reset reasons for Watchdog testing purposes only
  - reset,watchdog0 - BIOS hw watchdog
  - reset,watchdog1 - avl FW watchdog 1
  - reset,watchdog2 - avl FW watchdog 2
  - reset,watchdog3 - avl FW watchdog 3
Pfal,Cnf.Set roboustness improved
- Debug infos removed to speed up loading alarms during start (when PFAL,CNF.Set,DBG.EN=1)
GSM
- eMCC event is shown correctly
- Mechanism of the operator selection improved
PFAL commands
- PFAL,Cnf.Backup added
- PFAL,Cnf.Restore added
Dynamic protocols
- &(MONI) can be used in PFAL commands again
  - it is strongly NOT recommended to use this dynamic protocols in alarm actions
Events

- Sys.Info.e1

- GPS.Nav.sDeltaspeed added
Improvements
- GSM AT commands handling optimized

Known issues:

Error outputs when dialing or accepting voice calls.
These outputs have no effect on the voice calls or the device functionality which can be ignored.
When dialing voice calls --> "$GPERROR:GSM: CmdErr 1" will be outputted
When accepting voice calls --> "$error accepting call" will be outputted. However, the device accepts the call and generates the event "GSM.Voicecall.eEstablished".
