New firmware version for FALCOM AVL devices

2Embedcom announces that the new firmware version for all Falcom AVL devices (SteppIII, Bolero-LT, Fox (-LT-IP, -LT)) is now available.

The new firmware for 8MB-FLASH devices is version 2.6.5 and includes following features:

GSM
- GSM communication detection robustness increased
- audio profile configuration errors are ignored when initializing GSM
- SIM card contacting optimized
- GSM reset after 5 minutes for card holder without SIM present PIN
GPRS
- Re-check network GPRS availability without waiting for GSM.eCellChange
- DNS timeout is working optimized
- GPRS class parameter optimized for power efficiency
- if a specific multiplex channel is busy after restart, modem is restarted automatically and correctly initialized
PFAL
- Sys.Device.ChargeSleep implemented to allow the device to charge its internal battery (if available) in sleep mode
- GSM.VoiceCall.SendDTMF added
- IEEE.IOBox0.CalibrateMin0
- IEEE.IOBox0.CalibrateVoltage0=12.1234
- GPS.Nav.Distance.Load added to load the current distance counter from non-volatile memory.
- GSM.GPRS.State 'connected' is displayed correctly now (sometimes was displayed as 'disconnecting' before)
Alarm Interface
- Alarm.Info considers hidden alarms correctly now
Dynamic entries
- &(IOBOX_ANAX,Y) added
- fast serial data event alarm execution

A new firmware version (2.5.12_RC7) is also available for 2MB-FLASH devices:

GSM detection behavior optimized for critically discharged batteries
GPRS connection is not restarted when losing GSM registration
GPRS security improved for blocked MUX channel after startup
Remote update settings adapted to allow keeping of configuration for larger compressed firmware, i.e. (FW version 2.6.5 on AVL devices with 8MB FLASH)
Audio profile configuration errors are ignored during GSM initialization
opselection adapted to FW version 2.6.5
DNS timeouts are working as expected
TCP client autoconnect setting is read correctly now (auto and manual connect works)
Emergency sleep works now as expected
Alarm.Info considers hidden alarms correctly now
History: correct delta-time parsing of motorway record
System time correccted when disabling GPS engine (system time continues counting now - no time freeze anymore)
Whitelist increased to 100 entries
- GSM.EXT.WHITELIST contains 50 entries now (it has to be configured before OPSELECTION)
- Entries of GSM.EXT.WHITELIST are added to OPSELECTION for achieving up to 100 operators
